Economic Impact of RUN Universities
RUN engaged Nous and the Centre of Policy Studies to estimate the economic impact of RUN member universities on regional Australia. The study quantified RUN universities’ impact on real GDP, employment and wage levels in their areas. The study revealed that in 2018, RUN universities contributed $2.4 billion to their regional economies and created 11,300 jobs. This represented a 41 per cent increase since 2015.
