The Regional Universities Network (RUN), in conjunction with the Australian Department of Education proudly supported a research delegation to deliver a series of Clean Energy and Sustainability symposiums in Brazil, Colombia, and Chile in March 2024.
Focus of the delegation
RUN in conjunction with the Australian Department of Education partnered together to diversify and broaden locations of international students and partnerships with a focus on regional Australia. To achieve this RUN sent a delegation of researchers from regional Australian universities to Latin America.
The delegation promoted the quality of research being undertaken at Australia’s regional universities, raised awareness of these universities as potential partners and study locations, and created direct connections with researchers and academics in the thematic areas of sustainability and the clean energy transition.
The delegation travelled to Brazil, Colombia, and Chile as follows:
