RUN’s Priorities

RUN seeks excellence in tertiary teaching, training and research outcomes for the communities we serve; the one-third of Australians who live outside our largest cities in regional, rural and remote Australia.

Through collaboration, shared expertise and a common social purpose, RUN universities are committed to the pursuance of three key priorities:

  • Providing timely, evidence-based and solutions-focussed policy advice to government and decision makers, regarding tertiary education, research, regional development and the distinct needs of our students.
  • Promoting the extraordinary contributions made by regional universities and their graduates to the social, economic, and cultural prosperity of regional Australia.
  • Building the capabilities and social impact of RUN universities by sharing best practice in regional educational delivery, training, research and institutional management.
